Giorgio Spina is a fashion designer. He has always chosen, loved, perfected, followed new ideas and suggestions and worked closely with knitwear. He has shared the mastery, talent, technique, secrets and the infectious harmony of a group of people who have always been involved with knitwear; knitters, yarn specialists, programmers, chemists and dyers.
His trademark “Spina” was born from this passion, where knitwear becomes coats and jackets. He feeds on shapes and yarns and clever designs for a quintessential look and his inventions are more like objects d’art than simply something timeless to wear.
Having worked with various Italian and overseas designers, he now infuses experience and enthusiasm into a design project that uses the most precious fibres in the world, Mongolian cashmere. No coincidence then that he shares the journey and objectives and collaborates with Be.Mi.Va. Yarns, a company that invests decades of experience into designing and making fantasy yarns. He also works with Filitaly-Lab, one of the most important producers of Alpaca yarns, a company that combines tradition and innovation in each of its products.
